Ultrafast packages
Shell’s Ultrafast Fibre uses Openreach’s GFast technology. GFast builds on FTTC by supercharging your telephone line to provide lightning fast speeds. Over 2.8m premises in the UK can get GFast Fibre broadband.

Does Shell Energy Broadband include a home phone service?
Line rental is included as standard with Shell Energy Superfast and Ultrafast broadband packages. Pay as you go calls are included in this, with the option to add a call package if you wish.
- Evening and Weekend - Inclusive calls to 01, 02 and 03 numbers and standard UK mobile calls from 7pm to 7am Monday to Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday
- Anytime - Inclusive calls to 01, 02 and 03 numbers and standard UK mobile calls ay any time of day
- International - 600 inclusive minutes to landlines in 40 countries, 75% discount on calls to mobiles in 40 countries and 50% on all other international calls
Shell's Full Fibre broadband packages do not come with a home phone line at all. This is because Full Fibre replaces any existing telephone lines that reach your home with new fibre optic cabling.
A lot of full fibre providers offer a Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone service instead of a traditional landline, but this is not something that Shell Energy Broadband currently offer.
