BT TV packages

BT TV have five flexible TV packages which you can change once a month if you want to. The TV packages are:

Entertainment

Sky Atlantic, Sky One, Discovery, Comedy Central and more premium channels with the NOW TV Entertainment Pass. Plus Freeview and over 300 Box Sets on demand from NOW TV.

Big Entertainment

Everything from the Entertainment package plus all the Sky Cinema channels and over 1000 movies on demand from NOW TV.

Sport

All four TNT Sport channels, Eurosport 1 and 2, discovery+ Premium.

Big Sport

Everything from the Sport package plus every Sky Sports channel, bringing you the Premier League, F1, golf majors and much more with the NOW TV Sky Sports Pass.

Full Works (formerly VIP)

Everything from Big Entertainment and Big Sport, Netflix Standard, HD and discovery+ Premium.

Why choose BT TV?

Flexible

Being able to change your packages monthly offers great flexibility, and means there is no paying for channels you don't need. Perfect for when the football season ends, or for adding kids channels during school holidays.

Netflix

In November 2021, BT announced that Netflix is now included in their Entertainment, Big Entertainment, and VIP TV packages, for one monthly payment and on one bill. Customers who already have a Netflix account can seamlessly transfer their account details and saved content to their flexible BT TV.

App controlled

All your apps are in one place, so you can easily switch between apps like Netflix and Amazon.

Multiroom

Customers with BT fibre broadband with speeds of 23Mb or more can add BT's multiroom feature - Extra Box. This allows you to add one extra box to watch TV in another room for £5 per month.

BT TV App Extra

for £5 a month, BT TV App Extra allows you to watch on the TV in one room while people in two other rooms also watch without the need for extra TV boxes.

As well as watching on different devices such as laptops and tablets, App Extra also lets you watch on a Samsung Smart TV, Chromecast, Apple TV, Amazon Fire Tablet or Amazon Fire TV.

Unfortunately though, BT TV App Extra doesn’t include Sky Sports or Sky Movies.

What's bad about BT TV?

Long contracts

Although packages can be changed monthly as your viewing habits change, the overall contract length is still 24 months.

Can't be taken as a standalone TV package

BT TV is only available to BT broadband customers.

Annual price increases

Prices will increase each year from March 2021. This increase is based on the Consumer Price Index rate of inflation which is published in January each year plus 3.9%.

Your favourite channels and apps, no aerial needed

With the BT TV Box Pro you can enjoy your favourite content in 'internet mode’, without the need for a TV aerial. In internet mode you'll be able to record two channels at a time, and most, but not all free-to-air channels are available through internet mode. If you decide that's not enough, then you can always switch back to ‘aerial mode’.

How do I switch to BT TV?
