All you need to know about EE TV
EE, or to give its full name Everything Everywhere, was formed in 2010 as a result of the merger between Orange and T-Mobile. Owned by BT, they are best known for their mobile network and launching the UK's first 4G network. In 2015 they entered the home broadband market offering both standard ADSL and fibre packages. 2014 saw the launch of their branded TV service, which was subsequently replaced with Apple TV 4K in 2019.
Let's take a look in more detail at what EE TV has to offer.
EE TV packages
EE TV comes via an Apple TV 4K set top box and is only available to existing EE pay monthly mobile customers when they sign up to a new broadband plan. So if you are looking for a standalone TV package then EE isn't for you.
Customers receive the Apple TV 4K set top box which is one of the best streaming devices on the market. The box lets you stream content on demand from a range of apps such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, Netflix and Prime Video.

Apple TV+

What's bad about EE TV?
Can't be taken on its own
EE TV is only available to existing EE pay monthly mobile customers when they sign up to a new broadband plan.
Premium apps extra
The subscription cost for premium apps such as Netflix or Prime Video is not included in the monthly cost and will need to be taken separately.
No ability to record live shows
Apple TV is all about the apps. So there is no way to watch or record live Freeview channels.
What equipment do I get?
EE TV is powered by an Apple TV 4K set top box. This come with a Siri remote so you can find shows using your voice.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get EE TV on its own?
Unfortunately no. EE TV is an exclusive package only available to EE pay monthly mobile customers when they sign up to a new broadband plan. You can’t get EE TV on its own.
Is BT Sport Included with EE Apple TV?
Yes. If you are an existing pay monthly mobile customer, and you sign up for EE Broadband, you can add an Apple TV 4K box with inclusive BT Sport Ultimate to your plan to give you loads of content and sport to watch live or on-demand.
How do I switch to EE TV?
Switching to EE TV couldn't be easier. Once you have found the deal you want, simply click the ‘View Deal’ button. This will take you to EE’s website, who will guide you through the rest of the process. Or you can click the link below to go direct to the EE website.
If your current provider is Virgin Media then you will need to let them know that you're leaving and it's up to you to coordinate the end of one contract and the start of another.
If you're choosing a broadband package and are currently with another provider that uses the Openreach network, then they will do the contacting on your behalf.
