From today, Sky TV has officially added Disney+ to selected TV packages, giving millions of customers access to the streaming service as part of their existing plan. The rollout marks the first live step in Sky’s broader strategy to bring multiple streaming platforms together under one roof.
Eligible customers will now receive Disney+ Standard with Ads at no extra cost — a service that would normally cost £5.99 per month on its own. Beyond the cost saving, Disney+ content is fully integrated into Sky’s interface across Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Sky Q, allowing viewers to browse and watch shows alongside live channels and on-demand content. Existing Disney+ subscribers can link their accounts so that profiles, watchlists, and recommendations carry over seamlessly.
The launch follows Sky’s February announcement of a new all-in-one subscription model, which aims to bring together platforms like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu in a single, unified experience. (Earlier announcement)
The update is available today for both new and existing subscribers. It applies to Sky Stream and Sky Glass users with Ultimate TV, as well as Sky Q customers on Sky Ultimate TV, Sky Signature, and Sky Entertainment packages.
Disney+ Cinema channel joins Sky Cinema
Sky Cinema customers are getting a dedicated Disney+ Cinema channel, available on EPG 305, which showcases a curated selection of films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and 20th Century Studios in a traditional, scheduled format. This curated channel lets viewers enjoy favourites and new releases without needing to browse on-demand, blending the familiarity of linear TV with the flexibility of streaming.
The Disney+ Cinema channel complements other premium content already included for Sky Cinema subscribers, such as Paramount+, giving movie fans a broad selection of blockbuster films and popular franchises all in one place. The line-up on Disney+ Cinema will be refreshed regularly, keeping the viewing experience fresh and engaging.
By integrating Disney+ across its TV packages — from Ultimate TV bundles to the new Disney+ Cinema channel — Sky is positioning itself as a central hub for both live TV and streaming content. The move reduces app-switching, simplifies viewing, and adds clear value for customers navigating an increasingly crowded entertainment landscape.
