Sky One Is Back: Iconic TV Channel Returns on 24 February

Sky TV has officially confirmed the resurrection of one of Britain’s most beloved TV channels. After a five‑year hiatus, Sky One is set to relaunch on 24th February 2026, reclaiming its place in the UK television landscape and uniting fan‑favourite shows with exciting new originals all in one place.

A Home for Entertainment and Star‑Studded Shows

The relaunched Sky One will take over Channel 106, replacing both Sky Showcase and Sky Max, and becoming the central hub for Sky’s biggest comedy and entertainment programming. The channel’s refreshed slate includes returning favourites like Rob & Romesh Vs., The Paper, and Ted alongside brand‑new Sky Original series such as The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby.

In addition, Sky One will host the UK version of Saturday Night Live later in 2026, further anchoring the channel as a must‑watch destination for viewers.

Our goal is to make it easier than ever for Sky TV customers to find and enjoy the shows they love. Building on the iconic heritage of Sky One, the channel will be a one‑of‑a‑kind destination that’s big, bold and bursting with energy, bringing together brand‑new Sky Originals like The Dyers’ Caravan Park, returning favourites such as Rob & Romesh Vs., and serving as the home of the highly anticipated Saturday Night Live UK.
Carli Kerr, Managing Director of Sky TV & NOW

What Viewers Can Expect

According to reports, Sky One’s return channels a blend of nostalgia and fresh content. The original Sky One brand dates back to 1989 and played host to countless memorable TV moments before it was retired in 2021.

Availability will be across Sky’s platforms — including Sky Q, Sky Glass, and Sky Stream — but the channel will appear only on the Sky Ultimate TV package, meaning some subscribers may need to upgrade to access the full lineup.

Channel Guide Changes

To make room for Sky One on the guide, several existing channels will shift their numbers.

  • For Sky Q: Sky Comedy moves to channel 113, Sky Documentaries moves to channel 114, Sky Crime moves to channel 121, Sky Arts moves to channel 122, Challenge moves to 130, Sky Sci-Fi moves to channel 145 and Sky Nature moves to channel 124.
  • For Sky Glass and Stream: Sky Comedy moves to channel 109, Sky Documentaries moves to channel 110, Sky Crime moves to channel 111, Sky Arts moves to channel 112, Challenge moves to channel 116, and Sky Sci-Fi moves to channel 114.
